Thank you so much for checking out Four Oaks Kids, the children’s ministry of Four Oaks Church East. We value your children and want to provide them with a safe and secure environment so they can learn about Jesus. When you arrive at the worship gathering, look for a sign that says “Children’s Check-In.” At this station, we will register your children (including allergies/medical conditions) using our church’s online software program called Planning Center Checkins. We will provide you with a pickup tag and then introduce your children to their teachers and their classroom. All of our volunteers are screened and trained to care for your children and maintain strict adult-to-child ratios to help ensure their safety.

At our Sunday services we offer nursery, preschool, and elementary Sunday school classes for children birth-5th grade. All children experience a time in the Word, in prayer, and worship through song each week that is developmentally appropriate for their age.

Nursery 1 & Nursery 2

Our nursery classes serve babies and toddlers from birth to approximately 36 months. Children have a monthly lesson where they learn big truths about God from Children Desiring God’s curriculum entitled “A Sure Foundation.” We want to give children language for who God is, so that when they do begin to talk, they will have a foundation of truth to draw from. Additionally, we have a monthly prayer focus that is prayed over each child by name.

Preschool

Our preschool class serves children approximately 3-5 years old. This class uses The Gospel Project for Kids curriculum, a 3-year chronological study of the Bible. Additionally, children participate in worship through song and learn a monthly memory verse.

Kindergarten-5th Grade

Our elementary students join their parents during the singing and liturgy time of the service. Once dismissed to their classes, students participate in small group discussion, prayer time, and age-appropriate activities. This class uses The New City Catechism curriculum.
